9th Annual Tampa Bay High School Film Competition

The Tampa Film Institute
The Tampa Film Institute is pleased to announce the 9th Annual Tampa Bay High School Film Competition, as a part of the 2024 Gasparilla International Film Festival. This year over 30 films were submitted by Tampa Bay area high school filmmakers. These students represent the very best talent in Tampa Bay, led by passionate and dedicated instructors. Congratulations to the official selections for the 2024 Tampa Bay High School Film Competition!

The mission of The Tampa Film Institute, Inc. (TFI) is to improve the educational opportunities of Tampa Bay area student filmmakers and their schools. This year through the generous support of our sponsors, and in partnership with the Hillsborough Education Foundation, we are proud to provide over $10,000 in production equipment to award-winning students and schools.

The Winners
Film equipment will be given to the school of the winning film for Best Director, Best Picture (Grand Jury), Best Cinematography, and Best Picture (Audience Choice).
