Gasparilla Film Festival holds 'Kickoff to the Gasparilla Film Festival- 2008'
The Gasparilla Film Festival held its 'Kickoff to the Gasparilla Film
Festival, 2008' at Fleming's Fine Steakhouse and Wine Bar.
Over 70 Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Film makers and Sponsors
attended the annual event.
Luminaries in the crowd included State Representative Kevin Ambler,
Dianne Jacob from the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Rick and Maria
Frueh (Gunn Allen Financial), Russell and Stephanie Rich, members from
the Festival's presenting sponsor, Wachovia, as well as the St.
Petersburg Times, and several local and national film makers.
The Gasparilla Film Festival (Tampa Bay) is one of the fastest growing
independent Film Festivals in the nation, and will take place from
February 27th- March 2nd, 2008 at Tampa Theatre, Channelside 9,
locations in Ybor City and Hyde Park Village.
The Gasparilla Film Festival is presented by Wachovia, and sponsored by
the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Navigar Advisors, the St.
Petersburg Times, Stella Artois, Marshall Entertainment Insurance,
Kodak, and several other fine corporation, organizations, and
individuals in the Tampa Bay area.
