Gasparilla Film Festival (Tampa Bay) announces dates for 2008

The Gasparilla Film Festival, Tampa/St. Petersburg's largest
independent film festival, have announced the dates for its next
Festival. The 2nd annual event will take place Wednesday, February
27th through Sunday, March 2nd, 2008.
This past year, the 5 day Festival's opening night festivities
were held at the historic Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa. Other
major venues included Channelside Cinemas 9, and selected sites
at Ybor City near downtown Tampa.
Features from over 13 countries were represented this past year
and several thousand moviegoers attended.
The Gasparilla Film Festival was widely praised not only for
the quality of its film selection, but for its organization and
overall design. Its website http://www.gasparillafilmfestival.com received
an extremely high number of page views and unique users for a
first-year Festival", according to b-side entertainment,
a large on-line provider of back-office film festival services.
Even more impressively, "the very high number of registered
users indicated that Gasparilla Film Festival was excellent at
inspiring its audience members to do more than just view the

Last year's Gasparilla Film Festival was presented by Wachovia
and Wachovia Insurance Services. The Festival was also sponsored
in part the Tampa Bay Film Commission, The Tampa Bay Convention

Channelside Theatres, Hilton Garden Inn-Ybor, Navigar Advisors,
