InterContinental Tampa Announces Special Patron Rates for Gasparilla International Film Festival

                        The property is the official hotel sponsor of the fourth annual Gasparilla International Film Festival, which takes place March 18-21, 2010.  One of Florida’s largest and fastest-growing film festivals, the Gasparilla International Film Festival takes place in downtown Tampa and South Tampa.  Each year, the festival features an average of 100 films from around the world at a variety of venues, with an additional focus on local productions.  Categories for the 2010 festival include: horror, comedy, documentary, international, young filmmaker (under 25 years old), North American Drama, short film, Florida Focus and a sidebar celebrating Tampa’s Cuban heritage.

The film lineup for this year’s festival has not yet been completed, but a preliminary peek has “Street Dreams” – a film about a skateboarder’s struggle to stardom – and “Endure” – the story of a detective investigating a fatal car crash – have already been added to the marquee.
